Spaces of Translation 10!

We are honoured to cordially invite you to participate in the jubilee 10th edition of the conference Spaces of Translation, organised by the Institute of Linguistics at the University of Silesia in Katowice and the Translation Studies Committee of the International Committee of Slavists.
This year’s tenth edition will be held on 13–14 October 2025.
We would like to emphasise that, in contrast to previous editions, this year’s conference will be held exclusively in person, on the premises of the Faculty of Humanities (ul. Uniwersytecka 4) and SpinPLACE (ul. Bankowa 5) in Katowice. This change reflects our invitation to meet and engage in direct discussion within the university space.
As in previous years, the conference will cover a wide range of topics related to translation, divided into the following thematic sections:
- Translation Studies – general issues
- Specialised translation
- Interpreting and audiovisual translation
- Literary translation
- The translator and their work
- The didactics of translation
- New technologies and translation
- Students on translation
We kindly ask you to submit the titles of your presentations via the Google registration form by 30 June 2025.
